Human resources are a strategic asset for an organization. One factor that plays a role in improving employee performance is effective internal communication. Briefing as a form of internal communication is considered to have the potential to support employee performance achievement, especially when managed in a structured manner by HRD. This study aims to examine briefings as part of HRD practices and their effectiveness in improving employee performance. The research method used is a literature review by analyzing various scientific articles. The results of the literature review indicate that briefings can be positioned as part of HRD practices in managing an organization's internal communication. Briefings that are systematically designed and managed by HRD play a role in improving employee quality. In addition, the research findings also show that briefings are proven to be effective in improving employee performance, both directly and indirectly, through increasing work effectiveness and employee readiness.
