Post-Publication Discussion
Post-Publication Discussion
Jurnal Manajemen Bisnis Eka Prasetya (MBEP) is committed to maintaining the integrity, accuracy, transparency, and quality of scholarly publications. The publication of an article does not mark the end of the academic evaluation process. Therefore, Jurnal MBEP provides opportunities for readers, authors, researchers, and members of the academic community to submit comments, questions, scholarly criticism, and constructive feedback on published articles.
Post-publication discussion aims to encourage the exchange of scholarly ideas, clarify research findings, evaluate research methods and interpretations, and improve the quality and reliability of published knowledge, particularly in the fields of management, business, economics, and related disciplines.
1. Scope of Discussion
Post-publication discussions may include:
1. Academic comments or criticism concerning the theories, concepts, research methods, data analysis, and interpretation of results.
2. Questions or requests for clarification regarding the findings and conclusions of published articles.
3. Additional scientific evidence or perspectives relevant to the article under discussion.
4. Corrections of factual errors, references, data, or other information identified after publication.
5. Concerns regarding research integrity or alleged violations of publication ethics.
All submissions must be relevant to the article being discussed, supported by sound scholarly arguments, and written in professional and respectful language.
2. Submission of Discussions and Comments
Readers or researchers wishing to submit comments or discussions concerning published articles may contact the editorial team of Jurnal MBEP through the official communication channels provided on the journal's website.
Submissions should include the following information:
- The title of the article being discussed.
- The names of the article's authors and the year of publication.
- The article's DOI or URL, if available.
- A description of the questions, comments, criticism, or corrections being submitted.
- Relevant references, data, or supporting evidence.
The editorial team will assess the relevance, suitability, quality of argumentation, and ethical considerations of each submission before determining the appropriate course of action.
3. Authors' Right to Respond
Jurnal MBEP provides the authors of the article under discussion with a reasonable opportunity to submit clarifications or responses to the comments or criticism raised. This opportunity is intended to ensure balance, fairness, and objectivity in academic discourse.
Authors' responses must focus on the scientific substance of the discussion, be supported by relevant reasoning or evidence, and be presented professionally. Where deemed appropriate, the discussion and the authors' response may be published as a Letter to the Editor, scholarly commentary, or another publication format determined by the editor.
4. Editorial Evaluation and Decisions
The editors of Jurnal MBEP will evaluate each submission objectively, taking into account its scholarly contribution, the validity of its arguments, supporting evidence, and relevance to the journal's focus and scope.
Based on the evaluation, the editor may:
1. Accept the discussion for publication.
2. Request revisions or additional clarification.
3. Invite the authors of the article under discussion to provide a response.
4. Seek an independent expert opinion when necessary.
5. Reject submissions that do not meet the journal's academic or publication ethics standards.
Editorial decisions will not be based solely on differences of opinion but on the scholarly quality and relevance of the arguments presented.
5. Corrections to Published Articles
When errors are identified in a published article, Jurnal MBEP will assess the nature and significance of the errors to determine the appropriate course of action.
Errors that do not affect the overall validity of the research may be addressed through the publication of a correction. If serious issues arise that cast doubt on the reliability of the data, findings, or conclusions, the editor will conduct further examination and consider appropriate editorial actions, including an Expression of Concern or Retraction, where necessary.
All corrective actions must be handled transparently and documented appropriately. Published articles will not be substantively altered without notification or an appropriate editorial correction mechanism.
6. Ethics of Academic Discussion
All parties involved in post-publication discussions are required to uphold academic ethics, objectivity, and mutual respect. Jurnal MBEP does not accept discussions containing personal attacks, insults, allegations unsupported by adequate evidence, or material unrelated to the scholarly substance of the article.
If a discussion raises concerns about potential research integrity violations, the editor will address the matter in accordance with the relevant publication ethics procedures. The information and evidence submitted will be evaluated fairly, and the parties concerned will be given an opportunity to provide explanations where necessary.
7. Journal Commitment
Through this post-publication discussion policy, Jurnal Manajemen Bisnis Eka Prasetya seeks to foster a culture of open, constructive, and responsible scholarly discourse. This policy forms part of the journal's commitment to maintaining publication quality, correcting the scholarly record when necessary, and supporting the continuous development of scientific knowledge and professional practice.
